Helicopter involved in an accident at Sitterdorf airfield in the canton of Thurgau

A helicopter crashed at Sitterdorf airfield in the canton of Thurgau on Saturday morning. According to initial police reports, no one was injured.
The accident occurred at around 11.00 a.m., a spokesman for the Thurgau cantonal police told the Keystone-SDA news agency on request. He was initially unable to provide details of the circumstances. Several media outlets had previously reported on the incident.
The airfield is located in Zihlschlacht-Sitterdorf. It has been in existence since 1965 and has a 480 meter long and 20 meter wide grass runway. Among other things, sightseeing flights are offered from there. The facility also includes a leisure park and an animal park.
