Evi Allemann, the Bernese government councillor from the Social Democratic Party, declared herself ready for the job in the Federal Council. She highlighted her passion for politics and her track record as a leader, having been responsible for over 1200 employees in her department of Internal Affairs and Justice. Allemann stated her intention to create majorities from the minority and identified the most important topics as the cost growth in healthcare and increasing health insurance premiums, the transition to renewable energy sources, regulated relations with the EU, fair provisions and effective measures against violence against women.
