Kayaker dies after accident on the Inn near Scuol GR

A kayaker died in hospital on Tuesday after an accident on the River Inn near Scuol GR. According to the police, after the 52-year-old got his canoe stuck on a branch, he drifted down the river.
The 52-year-old was traveling together with three colleagues, each in a kayak, as the Graubünden cantonal police wrote in a statement on Thursday. The colleagues helped the 52-year-old man when he got stuck on a branch. He nevertheless fell into the river, from which his colleagues rescued him and brought him to shore.
According to the police, they began resuscitation on the shore until the rescue service and a Rega team arrived. The Graubünden cantonal police are investigating the circumstances of the accident together with the public prosecutor's office.
