The woman found in an apartment in Sursee LU, who was allegedly killed by violence, is a 57-year-old Swiss woman. The public prosecutor's office has applied to the compulsory measures court for her partner, a 49-year-old Swiss national, to be remanded in custody.
Simon Kopp, spokesman for the Lucerne public prosecutor's office, said this on Tuesday at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency. As the authorities announced on Monday, the woman was found dead in an apartment in Sursee on Saturday. Police arrested her partner at the scene.
The investigators are assuming a homicide on the basis of the findings, according to the statement. Kopp did not provide any information on the nature of the woman's injuries. The cause of death is being clarified by the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Zurich, he said.
