A major fire broke out at a school in Bière VD on Wednesday morning. According to the police, a gymnasium building of the college was affected. The fire department was able to prevent the flames from spreading to other facilities. According to initial findings, no one was injured.
The building in the area of the gymnasium was badly damaged, a spokesperson for the Vaud cantonal police told the Keystone-SDA news agency. He confirmed information from the newspaper "La Côte". The fire broke out at around 05:00. Extinguishing work was still underway in the morning. The cause of the fire was unclear.
