Man dies in Urnäsch AR after falling from a roof

A 58-year-old man fell several meters from the roof of a barn in Urnäsch AR on Sunday morning while clearing snow. He died at the scene of the accident.
The man intended to clear snow from the roof of a detached stable building, as the Appenzell Ausserrhoden cantonal police reported on Monday. In doing so, he lost his footing and fell onto a square at the rear of the building.
