The autumn season in Switzerland is marked by a variety of markets and events that follow the rhythm of the agricultural year. The most famous of these is the Bernese "Zibelemärit", which takes place on the fourth Monday of November and attracts thousands of visitors. Here, a variety of goods are sold, including onion braids and wreaths, as well as onion cakes and mulled wine to warm up the chilly morning. Other autumn events include the Aarau Rüeblimärt on the first Wednesday of November, the Murten Trüffelmarkt on the 18th and 19th of November, the Langnauer Jahrmarkt in the Emmental on the 20th of September, and the Chästeilet in the Bernese Justistal on the 22nd of September. In Appenzell Innerrhoden, the cantonal cattle show takes place on the 3rd of October, and in the wine-growing regions, the harvest is celebrated with "Läset-Sunntige" in Erlach from the 23rd to the 30th of September.
