The Swiss National Bank (SNB) acknowledges the report of the Parliamentary Investigation Committee (PUK) on the demise of CS. The report will be analyzed in detail, the SNB announced in a statement on Friday in response to a request from the news agency AWP.
"It is important to learn the right lessons from the Credit Suisse crisis and to strengthen regulation in Switzerland," it continued. In its Financial Stability Report 2024, the SNB pointed out that there was a need for action in the areas of capital and liquidity requirements.
There is also a need for action in the areas of early intervention and the planning of recovery and resolution measures, the central bank wrote: "The SNB is involved in the ongoing discussions on the necessary regulatory adjustments at both national and international level."
