One dead and two seriously injured in a car accident on the A13 in Misox GR

One person was killed in a head-on collision between two cars on the A13 highway on the San Bernardino near Mesocco GR on Saturday. Two other people were seriously injured. They were flown to hospital in a critical condition.
The accident occurred at around 11.40 a.m. in the area of the Ponte Isola bridge. According to the Graubünden cantonal police, a minibus from Germany and a car from Italy collided head-on. The cause of the accident was initially unclear.
According to the police, one occupant died at the scene of the accident. The two seriously injured were flown to the Civico Hospital in Lugano TI and the Cantonal Hospital in Chur respectively. The A13 was closed for around three hours after the accident.
The exact circumstances of the accident are being clarified by the public prosecutor's office and the police, according to the press release. The authorities are looking for witnesses.
