Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Truck in Ascona, Switzerland

On Tuesday morning, a pedestrian was fatally injured after being struck by a truck on the expressway near Ascona. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated, according to the Ticino Cantonal Police. On Tuesday morning shortly after 6:00 a.m., a woman was travelling on the overpass over the A13, according to a statement from the police. Shortly afterwards, for still unknown reasons, she was struck by a truck on the lower roadway. The woman passed away at the scene of the accident. In addition to the police, a care team was also present to provide support to those involved in the accident.
