Pensioner dies after falling from boat into Lake Geneva

An 82-year-old man has died in a boating accident on Lake Geneva. He died at Geneva University Hospital on Wednesday night after falling from a sailing boat near Corsier GE on Tuesday evening.
Rescue workers tried to resuscitate him while he was still in the harbor, but were unsuccessful. The public prosecutor's office launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident, as Henny Martinoni, spokesman for the Geneva cantonal police, told Keystone-SDA on Wednesday. He was confirming a report by 20 Minutes and the Tribune de Genève.
