Police Cancels Two Approved Demonstrations in Basel

The Cantonal Police of Basel have revoked the permits for a planned Israel vigil and a pro-Palestine demonstration on Friday afternoon due to security concerns. This decision was made following an international call from Hamas for support actions. Initially, the police had approved two demonstrations to take place on Barfüsserplatz in Basel, with an Israel vigil scheduled for 2pm and a pro-Palestine demonstration at 5pm. However, due to the new security assessment, both demonstrations have been cancelled.
