Two potential terror supporters from Schaffhausen have been released from prison after six months. The young people have been in inpatient detention since Easter 2024. They are being prosecuted for supporting the "Islamic State".
The two young people, aged 16 and 15, are also being investigated for criminal preparatory acts for intentional homicide, as the Schaffhausen police announced on Monday.
According to the press release, the two are also allowed to stay outside the institutions where they are being held, subject to certain conditions. The Italian and the Swiss were in contact with young people from Germany who were planning an Islamist attack. An 18-year-old from Thurgau was also arrested at the time.
