The railroad line between Weinfelden TG and Kreuzlingen near Kehlhof has been interrupted since February 8. The reason is a small landslide next to the track, which made it necessary to secure the slope. The line can be reopened from the start of operations next Saturday.
As of February 17, there will be no more restrictions for travelers, SBB announced on Wednesday.
Work on the landslide is progressing well: soil is being removed and the slope is being drained. In the medium term, further measures will be necessary on site. However, this work will probably no longer have any impact on rail operations.
Until Saturday, travelers wishing to use the route between Zurich and Constance via Weinfelden should avoid Romanshorn. From Frauenfeld, there will also be an express bus service without a stop to Kreuzlingen. Replacement buses will also be running for travelers between Berg and Weinfelden.
