SBB has been struggling with a major IT glitch since around 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Customers reported that they were unable to buy tickets. In addition, the display boards at stations failed.
The exact extent is unclear, SBB announced on the short message service X shortly before 11 am. Their experts are working flat out to rectify the problem. Neither the app nor the SBB website were able to search for connections in the morning. The online timetable was down.
Ticket sales were also down, as reported by the Blick and 20 Minuten online portals. The information portal with the operating situation and disruptions was not available. All displays at the stations in Bern and Olten were down. SBB promised further information.
