The Swiss National Council and the responsible Ständeratskommission have both agreed to decommission 25 Leopard tanks that have been stored and inactive for some time. After the tanks have been decommissioned, they will be sold back to the German manufacturer. This decision is part of a larger effort to modernize the Swiss Army and reduce its reliance on outdated equipment. The decommissioned tanks will be replaced with more modern and efficient models. This move is expected to save the Swiss Army money in the long run, as well as improve its overall effectiveness.nnnnnnnnnnnn
