The SVP parliamentary group wants to stick to the SP's official ticket for the Federal Council elections on Wednesday. The parliamentary group has not yet announced whether it will give preference to Beat Jans or Jon Pult.
It wants to discuss this again on Wednesday morning. According to the SVP's announcement on Tuesday, the condition for the SVP to accept the SP ticket is that the SP also adheres to the concordance.
In view of the uncertain global situation, international conflicts and the looming economic crisis, the SVP wants nothing to do with "party games" and "knee-jerk exercises". Stability means reliable framework conditions for companies and the population.
The largest parliamentary group under the Federal Palace dome is calling on the Federal Assembly to respect the concordance in the interests of the country, with two Federal Council seats each for the SVP, SP and FDP and one seat for the center. It wants to confirm all current members of the Federal Council in office.
