Swiss will continue to suspend its flights to and from Tel Aviv in Israel up to and including October 14. The airline has made this decision following a further review of the situation in the Middle East. It is thus sticking to the decision it made last week.

The safety of passengers and crew is the top priority, Swiss announced on Monday. Specialists were monitoring the situation and were in contact with the relevant authorities in Switzerland and locally.

The Lufthansa subsidiary will allow affected passengers to rebook for a later travel date or will refund the full ticket price, the statement added.

Swiss had already announced last Tuesday that it would not be operating flights to and from Tel Aviv. Swiss had only resumed its flights to the Israeli Mediterranean metropolis at the beginning of September, after having suspended flights to Ben Gurion Airport since the beginning of August.
