Following the emergency loading of a Swiss aircraft in Graz (Austria), two crew members were still receiving medical treatment on Tuesday. One cabin crew member was in intensive care. Twelve passengers hospitalized on Monday were able to leave the hospital again.
The condition of the crew member in the intensive care unit is still being followed "with concern", the airline Swiss announced on Tuesday. The relatives are on site and are being looked after. They are in close contact with the treating doctors.
"Our thoughts are with the people affected and we firmly hope that our colleague's health will improve in the near future," wrote Swiss.
The Airbus A220 aircraft was on its way from Bucharest to Zurich on Monday evening with 74 passengers and five cabin crew members. The aircraft had to make an emergency landing due to engine problems and smoke in the cabin and cockpit. Following the incident, five crew members and twelve passengers sought medical treatment, according to Swiss.
