The airline Swiss has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv for the time being. In view of the current developments in the Middle East, the safety of the crew and passengers has top priority, as the airline announced on Sunday.
The airline is in constant contact with the seven employees in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv, Swiss announced in a communiqué early on Sunday morning.
As numerous airspaces are closed due to the current situation, Swiss is examining the extent to which flights that have already taken off need to be diverted.
The airline decided on Friday evening to avoid Iranian airspace, as it informed the Keystone-SDA news agency on Saturday. The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) generally advised against traveling to Israel.
