Temperatures above 27 degrees in several places in Switzerland

Monday was also a summer day. Shortly after midday, temperatures of 25 degrees and above were measured in several places. It was warmest in the afternoon in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley at just under 28 degrees. Even the city of Zurich was able to keep up with 25 degrees.
Temperatures above 25 degrees were widespread across the entire northern side of the Alps in the afternoon, as SRF Meteo announced in the evening. Oberriet Kriessern in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley topped the list with 27.8 degrees.
In Sion in Valais, 26.5 degrees were measured at 4 p.m., in Delsberg in the Jura 26.1 degrees and even in St. Gallen, which is usually cooler, it was still 25 degrees. Ticino was no slouch either with 26.2 degrees in Biasca.
