On Saturday afternoon in Pontirone TI, a 76-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle due to medical reasons. The car plunged 50 meters down, killing both the driver and his 81-year-old passenger. The two men, who lived in the canton of Ticino, were on their way to the Pontironetal when the accident occurred. According to initial investigations by the cantonal police, it is believed that the driver had a medical problem.
