In the canton of Aargau, amok threats appeared again at two schools on Thursday. According to the police, everything points to a "nasty joke". In Lenzburg AG, the investigation led to an 11-year-old pupil. The police warn of criminal consequences.
The new threats appeared at the schools in Lenzburg and Bremgarten on Thursday morning, according to the Aargau cantonal police. Handwritten inscriptions were found in the toilet facilities at both locations.
The respective school administrators immediately called in the Aargau cantonal police. In addition to the usual immediate measures, the cantonal police began their investigations. These led to an 11-year-old pupil in Lenzburg at midday.
The teenager subsequently confessed to having made the threat. He had seen something similar on Tiktok, he said. The pupil has to answer to the youth prosecution office.
No indications of danger
In the case of the school in Bremgarten, the investigation into the unknown perpetrators continued on Thursday afternoon. Here, too, everything points to a "nasty joke", with which someone probably wanted to imitate other incidents or questionable content on social media, the cantonal police stated. The fact is that there was no evidence of a specific threat.
School was canceled in Suhr near Aarau on Thursday - because of a threat found on Tuesday. It was "very probably a bad joke", wrote the school management team, who called in the cantonal police.
Parents have a duty
Following the latest incidents, the cantonal police appealed to parents to make their children aware of the serious background and serious consequences of such threats.
Even if they are supposedly jokes, they constitute serious criminal offenses. These would be consistently prosecuted by the criminal prosecution authorities.
