A 76-year-old woman died tragically on Saturday while hiking above Leukerbad. She had been travelling from the middle station of the Seilbahn Flaschen-Torrentalp towards "Wolfstritt" when she fell over 60 meters down a steep incline. Rescue teams, who were flown in by helicopter, were only able to confirm her death. The victim was a resident of the canton of Solothurn.
