The Swiss National Bank announces Claudia Aebersold as the new Head of Communications, succeeding Susanne Mühlemann, to steer its communication strategy forward.
The Swiss National Bank (SNB) has appointed Claudia Aebersold as its new Head of Communications with effect from the beginning of June 2024. She is currently still Head of the SNB Media Office and Deputy Head of Communications.
She will replace Susanne Mühlemann, who will leave the bank at the end of May after more than seven years as Head of Communications.
Claudia Aebersold has a doctorate in economics and has been head of the SNB media office since 2019, according to a press release issued on Monday.
She previously worked as economics editor at the Neue Zürcher Zeitung for eleven years, seven of which as a correspondent from Frankfurt.
Susanne Mühlemann, meanwhile, has “significantly developed the SNB’s communications in recent years and provided substantial support to the bank’s management in this area”, the statement continues.
