Swiss Life Asset Managers telecom infrastructure investment, purchasing a stake in Telecom Infrastructure Partners.
Swiss Life Asset Managers has successfully completed the purchase of a significant equity stake in Telecom Infrastructure Partners (TIP), a major aggregator of telecom site leases across Europe and Latin America, on behalf of its clients claims businesswire.
This acquisition, initially publicised on January 10, 2024, marks a significant advancement in Swiss Life’s investment strategy, particularly in the telecommunications infrastructure sector.
Swiss Life Asset Managers, known for its investment in insurance, manages assets totalling EUR 275.4 billion, with EUR 120.4 billion of that sum on behalf of third-party clients as of December 31, 2023.
The company’s Infrastructure Equity platform, established in 2011, commands over EUR 10 billion in assets and is supported by a team of more than 65 investment specialists.
Telecom Infrastructure Partners, the acquisition target, operates a platform for leasing telecom sites and is led by Eric Overman. Under his leadership, TIP has expanded its operations to 16 countries, innovating in the telecom lease management sector to support global connectivity demands.
Reflecting on the partnership, Damian Stanley, Managing Partner at InfraBridge, highlighted the strengthened potential to tap into the escalating demand for mobile data and infrastructure.
