The agricultural conglomerate Fenaco, backed by agricultural cooperatives, has set forth plans to fully integrate Bison, an IT company with its own IT services division.

The merger, set to take effect on January 1, 2025, will see Bison Schweiz AG and Fenaco Informatik combining operations under a single entity.

This initiative aims to streamline processes, reduce organizational overlap, and maximize the synergy between the two IT powerhouses.

Fenaco Informatik has been serving as the internal IT provider for the Fenaco-Landi Group and expanded its portfolio by acquiring Bison in 2014.

Subsequent steps towards integration saw the merging of data centers in 2016 and the unification of the HR and Finance departments in 2018.

With Bison’s workforce of approximately 350, nearly double that of Fenaco Informatik’s 180 employees, the merger is poised to create a robust IT service provider within the Fenaco ecosystem, poised to support the group’s extensive agricultural operations.
