There will be a change in the Executive Board at Postfinance next year. Kurt Fuchs will relinquish his CFO position at the end of May 2025.

Fuchs, who is actually Head of Finance and will return to that role, is currently acting as Head of Internal Affairs at the Swiss Post subsidiary since March and until the end of this month. This interim role came about following the resignation of CEO Hansruedi Köng at the end of February. Beat Röthlisberger, currently Deputy CEO of Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank (BLKB), will assume the role of CEO of Postfinance on July 1.

Fuchs will return to his CFO position at the beginning of July. However, he has now decided to step down prematurely in around a year, Postfinance announced on Monday. Consequently, he will be leaving the company before his normal retirement date. Fuchs has served as CFO and Deputy CEO for 13 years.

His retirement would normally have been due in the fall of 2027, coinciding with the new strategy period. He is stepping down early to allow for a new CEO/CFO team to take charge in the coming years. The search for a successor will be initiated shortly.
