The Stadtcasino Baden Group is replacing its CEO with immediate effect.
The Board of Directors has appointed Christian Aumüller as the new CEO. The previous CEO Michael Böni is taking on a new professional challenge, announced Stadtcasino Baden AG on Thursday.
The 57-year-old Aumüller has a varied experience in casino management across Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria and Hungary, according to the press release.
The Austrian-Swiss dual national has been Chief Gaming Officer and a member of the management of Grand Casino Baden since 2023.
The Federal Administrative Court had imposed a fine of 1.8 million Swiss francs on the Baden-based online casino. According to the ruling from the beginning of March, false information was allegedly provided when registering online customers during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Grand Casino Baden reported this to the Swiss Federal Gaming Board (SFBC). The casino appealed to the Federal Administrative Court against the fine imposed by the SFBC. The court’s decision is not yet legally binding.
