Ceposa AG discovers harmful pesticide chlorpyrifos-ethyl in dried tomatoes, posing potential health risks. Immediate product recalls underway.

A report from the Federal Council this afternoon has found reason to recall the following proudcts.

Internal Inspection Discovery: Chlorpyrifos-ethyl found in Ceposa AG’s dried tomatoes.

Health Risks: Chlorpyrifos linked to genotoxicity, raising cancer concerns.

Affected Products:

  • Dried Tomatoes (Various sizes)
  • Piatto Misto Classico (300g)
  • Snack Kalimera (120g)
  • Quartetto d’antipasti (190g)
  • Quartetto vegano (215g)
  • “Vegan” Vegetable Paste (1.0kg)
  • “Vegan” Vegetable Tartare (100g)
  • Chimichurri (1.0kg and 100g)
  • Rondini Zucchini (750g)

Sales Locations: Distributed in wholesale markets, butcher shops, and restaurants.

Consumer Advisory: BLV strongly advises against consuming the recalled products.
