19-year-old apparently kills parents and brother in Baden-Württemberg

Three members of a family have been killed in a violent crime in Baden-Württemberg. A 19-year-old is said to have attacked his parents and two siblings with a stabbing weapon in an apartment building in the district of Waldshut on Tuesday evening, according to the Freiburg police headquarters and the public prosecutor's office in Waldshut-Tiengen on Wednesday.
The parents, aged 58 and 61, died at the scene. A 34-year-old brother of the suspect succumbed to his injuries in hospital. A sister of the alleged attacker also suffered serious but non-life-threatening stab wounds. She was taken to a hospital by rescue helicopter.
The 19-year-old was provisionally arrested at the scene of the crime. He was to be brought before a magistrate at Waldshut-Tiengen district court on Wednesday on suspicion of three counts of manslaughter and attempted manslaughter. The background to the violence was initially unclear. Investigations were ongoing.
