49-year-old man killed in Wattwil after an argument

A 49-year-old Swiss man was allegedly killed with a knife in his apartment in Wattwil SG on Sunday evening following an argument. The police arrested a 53-year-old Brazilian woman living in Toggenburg.
According to previous findings, the man and the woman had been in the rented apartment on Wilerstrasse. For unknown reasons, an argument broke out between the two, the St. Gallen cantonal police reported on Monday.
The police found an injured man and a woman in the apartment. The woman was arrested. The man died of his injuries despite resuscitation and the rapid deployment of all emergency services. The exact circumstances of the crime and the relationship between the two are still being investigated.
The police had already been called to the same location on Saturday evening due to a dispute between the two men. They were informed of their legal options, according to the press release. The Brazilian woman left the apartment after talking to the police.
