Around 500 people paid tribute to the victims of the war in Gaza on the Bundesplatz in Bern on Saturday. Civilians who died in the Gaza war were symbolically represented in an action.
The aim was to commemorate the loss of 30,000 lives in the genocide in Gaza and to emphasize the urgent need to end violence and provide humanitarian aid, the Palestine Group Bern wrote in advance.
During the action, people symbolically represented civilians who lost their lives in Gaza, as a journalist from Keystone-SDA reported. They stood for civilians, journalists and doctors who lost their lives during the conflict in Gaza, the organizers said.
The demonstrators called for no more inaction, but for concrete measures to be taken to end the suffering in Gaza and promote the long-awaited peace.
