A 71-year-old man was found dead at the entrance to a house in Maur in the canton of Zurich on Saturday lunchtime. The police are assuming foul play. An "offense" is therefore at the forefront of the investigation.
Shortly after 12.00 noon, a local resident reported that a man was lying motionless at the bottom of an outside staircase of a house, according to the Zurich cantonal police. The resuscitation measures taken by the emergency services, who quickly arrived on the scene, were unsuccessful.
