The Aargau State Prosecutor has been able to investigate and arrest the operator of a child pornography exchange in the Darknet. A six-year prison sentence is being sought for the 47-year-old suspect from the Bremgarten district. According to the Aargau State Prosecutor, over 1.4 million child pornographic files were found on the suspect's devices, many of which were exchanged or forwarded to third parties. In the spring of 2023, a search was carried out at the suspect's home in the Bremgarten district. The true extent of the man's activities only became apparent after the analysis of the extensive IT infrastructure. The State Prosecutor is requesting a prison sentence of six years for making and disseminating child pornographic material, creating his own photos and videos, and consuming and possessing the files. In addition, the German citizen is to be expelled from the country for ten years.
