Activists occupy buildings at the University of Basel again

Pro-Palestinian sympathizers once again occupied a building at the University of Basel on Thursday afternoon. A collective took up residence in part of the Alte Gewerbeschule.
Around 30 people gathered outside the building on Petersgraben, as a correspondent from the Keystone-SDA news agency reported at the scene. It was unclear how many people were inside. In particular, the occupiers demanded that the University of Basel should not collaborate with Israeli universities.
The management of the University of Basel confirmed in a statement that another university building had been occupied.
The Bernoullianum at the University of Basel had already been occupied by activists last week. After two ultimatums expired and the university filed a criminal complaint, the police cleared the building. The activists left the property when the police arrived.
