The alleged tormenting parents, who are due to stand trial at Horgen District Court on Monday, are both to spend four years in prison. This is what the public prosecutor's office has demanded. The parents are demanding acquittals for the most part.

The lawyer of the accused 45-year-old father finds a fine for assault appropriate. The lawyer for the 44-year-old mother is demanding a full acquittal. Both are charged with grievous bodily harm.

From the age of five, the two Swiss men are alleged to have introduced what the indictment calls a "humiliating education and punishment system" for their daughter. According to the indictment, she was beaten, bound with adhesive tape and locked up.

According to her own statements, the young woman still suffers greatly today. "There are days when I can hardly get out of bed," she said in tears. However, her own sister testified as a witness that her sister had only made up most of the incidents so that she could experience a court case.
