Another long traffic jam forms in front of the Gotthard tunnel

The heavy travel traffic to the south continued on Sunday. By around midday, a traffic jam ten kilometers long had formed in front of the north portal of the Gotthard road tunnel in Göschenen UR.
For drivers, this meant a waiting time of one hour and 40 minutes, as the Touring Club of Switzerland (TCS) announced on the short message service X. The highway entrances in Göschenen and Wassen were closed.
A traffic jam up to 15 kilometers long had already formed on the A2 in the canton of Uri on Saturday.
