Internationally renowned Swiss artist Miriam Cahn has not followed through on her threat, and her works are still on display at the Zurich Kunsthaus despite her anger towards the institution at the end of 2021. The cause of her anger was the discussion surrounding art looted during the Nazi era. A spokesperson for the Kunsthaus confirmed that Cahn had not bought any works back from the Kunsthaus. The new director, Ann Demeester, met with Cahn, and the meeting was described as "good and constructive" by the Kunsthaus. No further details of the meeting were given. In December 2021, the Jewish artist had expressed her frustration with the then-Kunsthaus leadership in a letter, accusing them of "historical blindness and lack of sensitivity" in their handling of the Bührle collection. Despite her initial anger, Cahn has not followed through on her threat, and her works remain on display at the Zurich Kunsthaus.
