Auxiliary Bishop Alain de Raemy, apostolic administrator of the diocese of Lugano, has expressed his sympathy to those affected by the severe storms in Ticino. He will visit the areas as soon as possible.
It was with great regret that he learned of the difficult situation in the upper Maggia Valley, the bishop wrote in a message on Sunday. He thanked the authorities and the rescue workers who were working tirelessly during these hours. And he included them all in his prayers, especially the victims and their families.
