Berset awards presidential donation to two Fribourg organizations

The outgoing President of the Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset, has awarded his presidential donation of CHF 5,000 to two charitable organizations in the canton of Fribourg. Both are committed to the cohesion of society.
This was announced by the Federal Department of Home Affairs (FDHA) to the Keystone-SDA news agency on Wednesday. CHF 3000 will go to Banc Public, a day center and meeting place for people in financial or social distress, according to the statement.
Berset, who was born in Fribourg, donated CHF 2000 to the Association Lire et Écrire. This is an association that aims to make reading, writing and arithmetic as well as the use of computers easier for adults with corresponding difficulties.
