Blochers Tagblatt buys four neighborhood newspapers in Zurich

Tagblatt der Stadt Zürich AG, owned by the Blocher family, has bought four neighborhood newspapers. The newspapers previously belonged to Walter Frey's Lokalinfo AG.
The takeover will take place on January 1, 2025, as the "Tagblatt" wrote on Wednesday. The newspapers affected are "Zürichberg", "Zürich-West", "Zürich 2" and "Zürich-Nord".
The free newspapers will appear in their current form for the last time in December. How the titles will be integrated into the "Tagblatt" has yet to be worked out. Christoph Blocher told the industry magazine "Persönlich" that it is still unclear whether there will be any personnel changes.
The Blocher family took over the "Tagblatt" from Tamedia in 2018 in exchange for the "Basler Zeitung".
