Body recovered from the Aare in Bern

Emergency services from the Bern cantonal police rescued a lifeless person from the River Aare in the Engehalde area of the city of Bern on Tuesday evening. They were only able to determine the person's death at the scene.
The deceased was a 69-year-old Spanish national, as the cantonal police announced on Friday.
An accident cannot be ruled out, but according to the current state of knowledge there are no indications of third party involvement. The cantonal police have started an investigation.
