Bruno Storni Withdraws from Second Round of Council of States Election

Bruno Storni has withdrawn from the Council of States race. According to information from the SP Tessin, he is giving up in favor of the Green Greta Gysin, who received more votes in the first round on Sunday. Storni should have defended Marina Carobbio's seat in the small chamber. Carobbio was elected to the Ticino government in April of last year. Since then, Ticino has been represented exclusively by Marco Chiesa (SVP), with the second seat remaining vacant. ©Keystone/SDA
