If the vote had been held at the end of August, the Swiss would have rejected both the biodiversity initiative and the BVG reform. This was revealed by an SRG poll published on Wednesday. The electorate will decide on September 22.
At the time of the survey, 51% of respondents were against the occupational pension reform (BVG), while 42% were in favor of it, according to the survey results. The reform has lost approval over time, which is an exceptional case for a government bill.
According to the results, the biodiversity initiative would have been rejected by 51% on August 31. Between the first and second survey, the "yes" rate fell from 51% to 46%. Such a trend is normal for initiatives.
The survey commissioned by Tamedia and "20 Minuten" was published on Tuesday. It showed the same results, but with a clearer rejection.
