Cars jam in front of the Gotthard north portal

The escape from the onset of winter to the south took a lot of patience in front of the Gotthard north portal late on Thursday afternoon. Cars were jammed for seven kilometers between Erstfeld and Göschenen UR.
According to the TCS, the time lost was one hour and ten minutes.
The weather is expected to be better in Ticino at the weekend than in northern Switzerland, where cold and wet temperatures and snow down to low altitudes are forecast. In addition, some cantons are still on spring break, while others will start next weekend.
