Center Party President Gerhard Pfister is confident that the cost brake initiative launched by the Center Party will be accepted. However, he clearly rejected the SP's premium relief initiative at the Mitte delegates' meeting in Ticino on Saturday.

The delegates' meeting was initially dominated by healthcare policy and the upcoming federal referendums on June 9 with the two healthcare initiatives. The center will also adopt its slogans for the vote on the Electricity Act and the Biodiversity Initiative.

Pfister also campaigned for the two fairness initiatives submitted by the center in March, which aim to eliminate the disadvantages of married couples in terms of AHV and direct federal taxes compared to unmarried couples.

In his analysis of the vote on the 13th AHV pension, the centrist leader strongly criticized the FDP and SVP. Putting the funding issue on the back burner is not a solution, said Pfister.
