Around a year after the start of the city of Zurich's cannabis study, those responsible have drawn a positive interim balance. Around 2100 participants have legally consumed 300 kilograms of cannabis products to date.

Initial results show a high level of satisfaction with the products and prevention services offered at the 21 reference points, as announced by the City of Zurich's Department of Health and the Environment on Thursday.

Since August 2023, registered participants have been able to legally purchase cannabis products at points of sale. These are pharmacies, social clubs and the City of Zurich's drug information center. With around 2100 participants, the study is well utilized.

According to the press release, many participants took advantage of the advice offered at the points of sale to reconsider their cannabis consumption.
