Closures on the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway route network

There will be restrictions on Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn rail services from mid-October to mid-November due to construction work. The sections between Visp and Täsch, Fiesch and Oberwald as well as Andermatt and Disentis will be closed during this time. Replacement buses will be running.
The buses running as a rail replacement are scheduled according to the timetable, the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway (MGBahn) announced on Thursday. Travelers should nevertheless allow extra time. This applies in particular to travelers returning from Zermatt with connecting trains or flights.
The closure of the route sections is expected to last from October 14 to November 10, 2024, and the construction work was deliberately scheduled for the fall, when there is less traffic.
