On the fringes of a gala evening of the "Swiss Friends of the Israel Museum" at the Kunsthaus Zurich, there was a paint attack on Monday evening. Red paint was thrown in front of the building.
Shortly after 7 p.m., Zurich city police stopped a woman at the scene and took her to a police station for further investigation, as the police reported on Tuesday on request. Three other people were checked near the Kunsthaus; one of them, a man, was also taken to a police station.
The "Blick" first reported on the protest action on Tuesday. As the Jewish weekly magazine "Tachles" writes on its website, no one was injured. The paint attack was accompanied by "anti-Israeli flyers".
Performance by ESC singer Eden Golan
Eden Golan also took to the stage in Zurich at the annual charity event for the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. However, the 21-year-old singer's performance was not disrupted by the action, writes "Tachles".
Golan made it to 5th place at this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Her participation in Malmö had sparked protests from critics of Israel in the run-up to the contest. There had also been calls for a boycott before her performance in Zurich on Monday.
